We’re excited to officially welcome our new Nova Play Crew from Institut Tecnològic de Barcelona, who have just started their first online phase of the program and are already bringing fresh energy and ideas to the TechNova legacy! 🚀
Nova Play focuses on game-based learning, combining board games, digital tools, and educational design to create innovative learning experiences for students.
The crew’s journey is structured in three phases:
💻 Online Phase 1 – research, concept development, and preparation (current phase)
📍 On-Site Phase – hands-on work, prototyping, and collaboration in Sofia
💻 Final Online Phase – refinement, feedback integration, and documentation

🔍 Ivan & Mark explored the TechNova Crew legacy, navigating the NAS to understand existing projects, structures, and materials — ensuring Nova Play builds on solid foundations.
🎲📱 Daniel & Judith began developing board game concepts and shaping a hybrid board + mobile game focused on financial literacy.
🌱🎓 Yoselin & Laura started designing game environments aligned with the Bulgarian educational curriculum for 8th, 9th, and 10th grade, connecting learning goals with immersive play.
A strong and focused start to the journey — and this is only the beginning.
