During the training “The Learning Lab: Projects, Play & AI in Landscape Architecture Education” at THE SP@CE+ Station Druzhba, our participant from Zgorzelec, Poland explored how project-based learning, creativity and AI-supported visualization can transform landscape architecture education into a real experiential process.
Instead of traditional lectures, the mobility followed a student-centered approach where learning happened through exploration, experimentation and creation across the CORE, CREA and MIND modules of the station.
As part of her implementation planning, two inspiring conceptual projects were developed together with AI-supported visualization tools:
๐ฑ Green Bus Stop of the Future – Zgorzelec, Poland
A sustainable urban concept integrating: ๐ solar panels
๐ฑ phone charging stations
๐ง rainwater collection system
๐ฟ green infrastructure and environmental awareness
The concept will be proposed to students as a real project-based learning activity connected to sustainability, smart cities and future-oriented urban design.
๐จ Conceptual Garden Inspired by Vladimir Dimitrov
A digital landscape visualization inspired by the emotions, colours and artistic expression of the famous Bulgarian painter Vladimir Dimitrov – The Master.
The garden concept explores: ๐บ emotional storytelling through landscapes
๐จ colour psychology in environmental design
๐ง creativity and interdisciplinary learning
๐ connection between art, culture and spatial design
The project will become part of the participant’s educational program in Poland, allowing students to work on real conceptual landscape challenges through creative and collaborative methods.
๐ As dissemination of the mobility experience, the participant will also organize a training for fellow teachers in her school in Zgorzelec, sharing methodologies and practices explored during the training at ICDET.
This is what modern education looks like: not passive learning — but building, testing, imagining and applying ideas in real contexts. ๐
